How To Transfer Domain From Wix To Hostinger

1. Prepare Domain For Transfer At Wix

To transfer any domain to Hostinger the following requirenments should be met:

• The domain must be at least 60 days old, unlocked, and not in a redemption period or flagged for transfer.
• Have the authorization code also known as EPP code.

So if your domain is 69 days old then let's see how to get the authorization code from Wix.

1. Login and Go to Wix Dashboard > Settings > Domains

2. In the domains page, go to the domain you want to transfer and click on ... button and you will see Transfer Away From Wix option click on it.

3. Now it will display a popup, Click on Transfer Domain, it will display another confirmation Click I Still Want to Transfer

This will send a domain transfer authorization code to your email. Go to the wix authorization email, copy the authorization code and keep we will require it to initiate a transfer in Hostinger so let's see how to do it.

2. Initiate The Domain Transfer To Hostinger

1. Login to your Hostinger account and go to the Domains transfer page.
2. Enter the domain name you want to transfer and click on Transfer.
3. It will display domain is ready for transfer so now you need to purchase the domain again so click on Purchase. It will renew the domain for that year.

4. After purchasing go to Billings page. Here you will see your domain transfer purchase and a setup button click on it.
5. It will open the domain transfer page, select a profile and click next.
6. It will ask to enter authorization code so enter the code which you copied from wix email and click on Transfer Domain button.

7. This will start the domain transfer process, It can take up to 7 days for the transfer to be completed. You can check the status in the domains page.
